Approach to Psychotherapy & How I Work

I will offer you a supportive, non-judgemental and respectful space to explore your feelings, thoughts and issues in a safe environment and in confidentiality. We will engage in a relationship that will allow you to reflect on your life in a unique manner: you will perceive your own world in your therapist's words and therefore, given an opportunity to observe yourself from another perspective and with prospect to look for change.

You will be accepted and valued as you are. Your weaknesses and strengths are welcome to be discussed and explored as self-discovery, personal growth and acceptance are encouraged to be pursued in psychotherapy.

After the first initial contact and during the first session, we will discuss your needs and what psychotherapy and I have to offer you. We will both assess whether we are suitable to work with each other and decide a time for you.

We will meet for our sessions on a weekly basis and for fifty minutes. Other arrangements can be done if you consider you need something different.

Psychotherapy can be short or long term, according to your personal circumstances and needs, but regardless the type chosen, we will embark together in a journey towards your wellbeing, that will end when you decide is time to do so. Before finishing therapy, it is important to have at least one closing session, as it will help you make sense of the therapeutic process.
