Alice Dellow
Shiatsu Practitioner in Bridlington

Alice qualified as a Shiatsu-Do practitioner at the British School of Shiatsu-Do, and is a registered member of the Shiatsu Society (MRSS).

Alice was first introduced to Shiatsu-Do in 2003 and was so impressed by the health benefits in all aspects of her being: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual, that she gave up her job as an event manager and re-trained for nearly four years to become a fully qualified Shiatsu-Do practitioner. The way in which Shiatsu unwinds the body's manifestation of somatic symptoms from psychological and / or physical trauma or stress means that Shiatsu-Do practitioners are able to treat all kinds of dis-ease in the body with extraordinary results.

Alice has studied Zen Shiatsu, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the Five Element Theory of Shiatsu, as well as specialising in more focused areas such as Pregnancy, (including before and after the birth, and working with partners), fascial release, structural re-alignment, joint mobilisation and core energetics.

Alice has an impeccable reputation amongst her clients and has treated people with a variety of conditions. The success of her practice lies with her intuitive ability to identify with a client's core imbalances and choose the appropriate techniques to treat with from her metaphorical toolbox of skills. Approach to Shiatsu & How I Work

It is a privilege to be able to work with each body in its own timescale and using techniques that work specifically to its energetic mechanisms; the way a Shiatsu practitioner will listen to your body and interpret it's condition through palpating the meridian channels is paramount to the success of the treatment. But really, it is your body that does the work! Shiatsu treats the cause of the symptoms thereby ensuring that the body is learning to mend itself.

Each treatment includes time for questions and for you to let me know anything that you feel to be relevant. Then the Shiatsu body work is carried out on a heated mat or body cushions on the floor.
