David Clyant
Acupressurist in Hereford

I have been involved in the field of body and qi work since 1979 and as well as a registered Acupuncturist, Tui Na Master Practitioner and Chinese Herbalist I'm also a registered T'ai Chi Ch'uan instructor, Qi Gong instructor, Kung Fu instructor, Reflexologist and Swedish Masseur.

I started practicing full time in Hereford and Ross-on-Wye back in 2010, having completed my 3 year training in the same year, and have been a full time practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine ever since. I've found over the years that my training in Chinese Martial Arts has helped me to identify energetic and physical patterns that were not taught as part of the Acupuncture Training and has helped me to bring relief to many patients' pain and discomfort.

Combining the Tui Na massage, Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs alongside exercises from the Qi Gong system that I practice and teach has proven to be a very effective way to help people to overcome their ailments and illnesses. This is the reason why I love doing what I do - people do not need to suffer and don't have to if they find the right approach to their diet and lifestyle.

My Specialisms

'If it isn't bleeding or broken then Acupuncture can help.' is a quote that may help you to understand how far reaching the effects of Acupuncture are. With this in mind I regularly see people with muscular aches and pains, joint pain, back problems, shoulder problems, gastric imbalances, asthmatic breathing, bowel problems, migraines, menstrual irregularities, emotional problems, nerve pain and STRESS. Due to the nature of the last few years with Covid and the lockdown I've also been helping people with acute and chronic respiratory conditions, low energy levels, depression, anxiety and post-viral complications.

If you want to know more then please contact me for a chat and we can discuss whether I can help you improve your current state of health and well-being.

Approach to Acupressure & How I Work

The initial consultation involves getting as much information about your condition as I can, realising that your health today is the total sum of every day of your life. This includes a review of how the problem started and when, what your current diet and living environments are, a review of any medication that you may be on and how you are emotionally. This gives us a starting point to plan a treatment. People often ask 'How many times do I need to see you?', this is dependent on how long you've had the condition and what your energy levels are like. However most people feel a benefit after even the first session.
