Approach to Therapy & How I Work

Specialising in clinical massage - getting people out of pain - I have a holistic approach to massage so our initial meeting includes a consultation to find out about your whole health profile and a chat to find out what you feel you need from the massage. If you have come with specific pain we will also do range of motion exercises and a visual body assessment to look at your stance and position of muscles to help focus which muscles and joints may be contributing to your pain.

In my first massage I'll be looking at the areas you specifically want me to work on but also finding out if there are other areas that relate to this. With clinical massage, my aim is to get you out of pain and increase your range of motion as quickly as possible but working weekly within a 6 week range if necessary. However, you should start to notice a real difference after three weeks. Where possible I try to use techniques that aren't painful and to always work within your comfort zones, the idea being I am working with your body to help it heal rather than forcing it.
