My Specialisms

Ruth originally became interested in nutrition because of her food intolerances, she is now a Gluten Free convert having suffered with various digestive complaints herself. All her recipes are gluten free and many are dairy free. So if you think you may have a food intolerance, Ruth will be very happy to help you through an elimination diet or suggest the best test for you and on how to make the right food choices.
She is passionate about gut health in general, so if you are suffering with IBS symptoms, bloating, flatulence, discomfort, acid reflux, constipation or loose stool, Ruth has had a lot of experience with testing for further information and using supplements to bring about the healing process.
Thyroid issues are another of Ruth's favourites, so if you have a diagnosed underactive thyroid or even undiagnosed but suspect it may be underactive, or are feeling fatigued, can't lose weight, suffer from constipation, have dry skin and hormonal problems, Ruth has a wealth of experience with supporting clients who are suffering.

Approach to Therapy & How I Work

Ruth's approach is symptom based and using her knowledge of the body, pieces together the information provided by your case history to identify and tackle the underlying causes of your health problems. A programme is then written which is specific to you and followed through until you next meet usually 1 month later. Ruth takes into consideration your lifestyle, exercise, eating and family habits to make it realistic and practical. Recommendations may include food and lifestyle changes, specific supplements and or tests.
You are initially sent a questionnaire and a 3 day food diary, upon completion, you meet with Ruth for about 1 1/4 hours, this costs £100.

A follow up consultation is about 4 weeks later and costs £45, this offers support and allows for adjustments to be made to the programme as progress is made.
In between visits Ruth is available to answer queries by email or telephone and of course you have access to her wonderful recipes.
