I am continually moved to help others find meaning and happiness in their life. I deeply value authenticity and offer a down to earth approach; to provide a safe and nurturing space to empower you, to develop compassion and curiosity about your Self.

Background & Qualifications

I am fully trained in Art Psychotherapy with two Masters degrees in Art Therapy, and a degree in psychology. I have trained to Level 3 in EMDR. I am a member of British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) and I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I have a membership with EMDR UK and am the treasurer of the Kent EMDR Regional Group. I am bound by the ethical frameworks and professional conduct procedures of these registering bodies.
I also work part time in the NHS providing mental health services using both Art Therapy and EMDR. With over 22 years' experience in adult mental health both in Australia and the UK. I have also recently trained in Brainspotting which is a gentle yet powerful, bespoke treatment aimed to address stress and trauma.

My Specialisms

I specialise in working with anyone experiencing distressing symptoms; which can include depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, trauma, gender and self esteem issues, physical stress, bullying, panic attacks, abuse, paranoid thoughts, hearing voices and self harm.

Approach to Therapy & How I Work

I deeply value authenticity and offer a down to earth approach, where I hope to stand beside you in your journey. I believe that you know what is right for you and I will help you to find that in yourself. I have also found that our bodies and brain are healing continuously, and that making art & engaging in psychotherapy are ways to enhance healing more fully and strengthen you to continue to heal yourself.
I offer weekly treatment sessions of one hour, this may include talking, art making or specific trauma-based treatments.
