Cathie Bardell

Counsellor in Liversedge

I am married and have grown up children and grandchildren. I have been through a divorce, have been widowed and - like most people - I have been well and truly challenged by life events. I feel my life experience supports my training and helps me be with clients in a non-judgemental, compassionate and supportive way. I have a dedication to lifelong personal development and have enjoyed adding various phychotherapy interventions to my portfolio over the years since I qualified as a counsellor and psychotherapist. I qualified initially in 1996 and then worked exclusively for BUPA as a staff counsellor.

I am currently in private practice and receive referrals from various sources - for instance - personal recommendation, ITV - Jeremy Kyle Show, local employers, a law firm in the USA, various UK call centres, several major charities, etc..

It is essential to the change process that client and therapist form a sound relationship based on trust and confidence. There is no assessment period and work begins immediately with whatever the client brings. There is no 'one size fits all' in terms of which intervention will suit a client. For this reason I feel the wide range of therapies I can employ enable me to tailor a solution to fit a client's needs. Everyone is different and just as no two people are the same, no two resolutions will be, either. Everyone is very special. Call me if you want to make changes in your life.
