Approach to Therapy & How I Work

I work within the psychodynamic framework, looking at both the conscious and unconscious mind to discover and uncover experiences that shape our relationships with a view that by becoming conscious of what we do, we then have the ability to think about what we would like to do differently.
I pay particular attention to early life experiences and attachments to help her clients discover patterns and parallels in their present relationships, to help them gain understanding of what may drive them to repeat behaviours that may cause emotional upset and unsatisfactory relationships.
i believe that therapy is only effective when it happens in a safe, non-judgemental environment, where clients feel able to express any emotion that they feel. This enables you to separate the destructive from the constructive in order for you to move forward and gain an improved sense of self and well-being.
