I offer short and longer term counselling to couples and individuals as well as working on a time-limited basis. I work with individuals and couples to help them work through a number of issues including but not limited to depression, anxiety, poor work/life balance, loss and bereavement, poor health, relationship problems and caring for a loved one with a life-limiting illness.
I work with women (and their partners) following pregnancy loss (at any stage of pregnancy) and loss of a child. This includes parents who ahem and to make the very difficult decision to end a pregnancy due to abnormality.
Anxiety and depression in pregnancy is now recognised as being almost as common as postnatal depression and I work with women experiencing such issues in their pregnancy and postnatally.
I am affiliated with a number of Employee Assistance and private Health Care Providers.
Background & Qualifications
I have a background in nursing and I hold an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy as a Means to Health, a Diploma in Bereavement Counselling and a Certificate in couples therapy.
I see clients for a wide variety of reasons including anxiety and depression, work related stress, relationship issues. I specialise in bereavement work, including pregnancy loss and loss of a child, pre and postnatal depression.

I believe that the relationship formed in therapy is as important as the therapeutic approach used. I work from a person centred approach, being alongside the client in a non judgemental and confidential way to help clients make the positive changes they are looking for. Additional Rate Information
Individual client sessions cost £48 per 50 minute session, couples cost £58 per session. I offer a free half hour initial consultation which is a chance to meet and discuss the therapy process and for us to decide if counselling with me is the way forward. Please make it clear at the time of booking your appointment that this is what you are booking.
