Hugh has international accreditation as a therapist and as a trainer. He is a UKCP Registered Clinical Psychotherapist. A Fellow of the National Counselling Society and a Fellow of the National Hypnotherapy Society. He holds European Association of Counselling Accreditation and is a Trainer Member of the Association of NLP International and The European Association of NLP. Hugh has worked in the Substance misuse field and has written a Diploma in Substance Misuse Theory and Interventions, the first of it's kind in N Ireland. He is author of the book 'Starve the Monster', a powerfull process to kill addiction thinking, published in 2017. He is a registered Supervisor and trainer of counsellors and psychotherapists and works towards developing the field of personal and professional development. 28 years of study and practice have allowed Hugh to develop a greater awareness of factors involved in psychological pain and what to do about it.

My Specialisms

Having 28 years of experience I have worked with most issues. Having written courses and my book on substance misuse, I am very aware of the challenges in this area. I have also worked very extensively with anxiety and trauma and related issues. Self image and confidence would be very prevalent in presentations.
