Counsellor in Bristol

I offer one to one, open ended psychotherapy and counselling in Bristol. There are many reasons why someone may want to see a therapist and dealing with your problems alone can feel isolating. We all have difficulties in our lives and we react to these difficulties in very different ways. Therapy is a place to begin to understand your relationship with your difficulties and how this relationship affects your life.

It can help to speak to someone outside of your normal friendship group about your problems within a space free of judgement. Sessions are directed by my clients and I think of therapy as a way for myself and my clients to learn about who they are and how they function in the outside world. By doing this we can look at how you can better live with and manage the things that are bringing you to therapy.

I typically see clients once weekly for 50 minutes and we can discuss over what period we see each other when we meet. Many clients find it helpful to see a therapist over a few years once they begin to learn more about themselves while others are content to have a smaller number of sessions. The choice is yours and something we can discuss when we meet.

If you would like to learn more about yourself, call, text or email.

Approach to Therapy & How I Work

I have many influences and interests but my main focus in sessions is to understand my clients as much as possible and through this, to help them better understand themselves. Through unpacking the experiences that you are struggling with we can better understand how these feelings are affecting you today.
