Counsellor in Caterham

Have you felt stuck, at a crossroads in your career or emotional life? Are you feeling stuck, anxious or depressed? Have you experienced a bereavement or having difficulties managing a change such as divorce or change in health. Are you or your children concerned about excessive drug or alcohol use? If you have felt any of the above then maybe I can help you?

My name is Liza and I became a counsellor after many years working as a support/key worker. My work entailed me offering a range of support from homelessness, mental health and addiction issues. I am very passionate about the work that I do, in my experience a persons life can be tipped upside down at the drop of a hat and they are left facing conditions and circumstances that become overwhelming and seem impossible to solve. My work as a counsellor enables me to support people through very difficult life conditions in a safe non-judgemental space. I understand that taking the first step to counselling can feel daunting but that first step could also be the change that you have been searching for.

At present I work in my private practice and offer face to face therapeutic counselling to adults (17+) in Purley and Sutton.

I support clients who are struggling with mental and emotional health concerns such as depression, anxiety, stress, anger, bereavement and addiction. I also have a thorough knowledge of implementing and supporting clients who are working to maintain abstinence using a 12 step program.

If you are in need of emotional and mental well-being support then I can help using integrative therapy.

Sometimes people are unable to define their issue, they simply feel something is wrong and would like to be free of "it" If you are ready to take the next step and to see if counselling is right for you please get in touch.

Background & Qualifications

I am a fully qualified and experienced Integrative counsellor and registered member of the British association for counselling and psychotherapy.

I started my training in a 12 Step rehabilitation center where I worked with people helping them to address a history of drug and alcohol mis-use using the 12 Step Model, group therapy and one-one counselling.

I went on to work with and counsel women who have suffered childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence and emotional abuse. This is another area that I am passionate about and continue to work in an agency specializing in domestic violence.

Alongside the agency work I offer long and short term counselling depending on your needs.
