I am a qualified Stress Management Practitioner having gained my diploma through the Stress Management Institute. Also I have been trained by the Samaritans to deal with face to face meetings as well as phone work and emails.
I have also worked in the corporate world for many years as a manager which encompassed many coaching courses which help when I am dealing with Stress in the Workplace. I have also coached individuals on Career Development, New directions, Work/life balance and Returning to work.
I work with individuals on a one to one basis to support you with managing your stress and anxiety, due to either your work or personal situation. I also include - Confidence & self-esteem, managing Well-being, Assertiveness and Building resilience.
I work with peoples stress, this can cover a wide spectrum of issues as Stress has many causes.
Stress can be brought on by work related issues such as poor management, personality clashes or just the pressure of time scales. However it may appear to be work related when in fact your stress could be caused by personal issues.
Stress can be caused due to many reasons, but not dealing with stress can and does cause many illnesses and can become debilitating.
I work with my clients to find out what type of approach works for them, this could be in a very practical way with daily techniques that can be used to stay calmer or ways to relax to help remove the stress over a period of time.
I can use Talking therapy which is favoured by many of my clients, however I can also use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, NLP, Mindfullness, depending of which technique works the best for my client.
Which every approach it has to be what is best for each client and their specific issue.

"After a personal injury in my mid-60's and subsequent operations, I changed from being a calm, organised, confident and caring person to an angry, foul-mouthed and impatient individual. I was scared as I didn't recognise myself anymore and felt guilty as I couldn't care for my husband as I used to. My physiotherapist recommended Paula as he was concerned that my mental state was also hindering my physical recovery. I warmed to Paula the moment I met her. She is easy to talk to, has a very calming nature, is very intuitive, has a good sense of humour and had an uncanny understanding of what was going on in my head. I unfortunately only had a handful of sessions before Covid 19 restrictions, but in that time she helped me accept the anger and guilt I felt as "normal" and I look forward very much to further sessions with her very soon.
