I'll work with you to achieve any, or a combination of, the following depending on your needs:

- rethink existing patterns of behaviour
- improve your self-esteem
- increase self-acceptance
- achieve more fruitful relationships with the significant other people in your life

Background & Qualifications

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I have an advanced diploma in humanistic integrative counselling, and a foundation certificate in transactional analysis (TA).

My integrative background involves tailoring theoretical approaches depending on your needs. These approaches include person-centred therapy, psychodynamic therapy, with some elements of CBT and solution-focused therapy for short-term work. I also bring relevant TA theory into my work.

I undergo ongoing supervision and professional training to ensure that I continue to practise to high standards.

I have previously spent several years working with clients at the Old Court House surgery in Barnet and CPPD counselling school in Hornsey.

My Specialisms

I have trained in the humanistic integrative approach to counselling. This means that I believe in your capacity to build on your personal strengths.

I use different theoretical approaches depending on your needs. These can include person-centred therapy, psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and transactional analysis (TA).

Approach to Therapy & How I Work

At the heart of my training is a belief in your capacity to change, and that the client-counsellor relationship itself is the most significant factor for change and healing to happen.

I have a particular focus on depression, anxiety, stress and sexuality issues around being gay, lesbian or bisexual.‚Äč I welcome clients from an Asian, Muslim or other religious or ethnic-minority background.

I usually see clients on a weekly basis, but more sessions can be arranged if necessary.
