Robin Altwarg

Counsellor in Liverpool

I am a professionally qualified and BACP accredited counsellor and psychotherapist, with 19 years experience, providing individual and couple counselling, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), on a short-term and long-term basis in an oasis of calm away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Sessions take place in a caring and professional environment, which is sufficiently challenging to effect change. Working together we can help you gain better understanding of yourself, to overcome obstacles in your life, and reach your goals.

For the time being I am providing all counselling sessions online using secure video meeting software.

Approach to Therapy & How I Work

There are a number of different approaches to counselling and psychotherapy. I work primarily using CBT, Schema Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), which all have a strong evidence base. The quality of the therapeutic relationship contributes to a positive outcome in counselling, which is very important in my work.
