Background & Qualifications
Vanessa is a trained Counsellor with an Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Integrative) awarded by CPCAB. Prior to this, she did Volunteer Alcohol Counsellor Training and a Certificate in Christian Counselling. She is an accredited registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abides by their ethical framework.

Approach to Therapy & How I Work
Vanessa considers herself an integrative practitioner and works using a range of theories including 'Person-centred', 'Attachment theory' and 'Cognitive Behavioural Therapy' (CBT). She believes above all, that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is the most important determining factor in positive results for the client, which is why she is open to feedback and invites regular reviews. She is warm, empathic and down to earth.
