I have the Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and Psychotherapy, have trained extensively in CBT and am a Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I am DBS checked.
We all have times when life feels too painful, when we feel it's hard to cope and that we need to find another way forward. At such times people often find counselling is an invaluable support.
Talking to a trained counsellor is a way of understanding your life and through this, starting to take responsibility for making different choices.
I aim to bring warmth and sensitivity to my work and I offer a safe and confidential place for you to explore and understand difficult feelings and thoughts. I listen carefully without judging you.
I adhere strictly to the Code of Ethics of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy which guarantees that your sessions are strictly confidential.
Counselling can be helpful for a wide range of issues including:
· depression, feeling low
· difficulties at work
· difficulties with relationships
· low self-esteem or lack of confidence
· lack of focus
· traumatic life events
· making life choices
· eating disorders
This is only a selection of areas for which people come for counselling. If you would like to discuss whether your particular difficulty would be suitable for
counselling with no obligation to book a session, feel free to contact me on
07956 374 569
I am trained and experienced in most aspects of relationship and individual difficulties such as stress, anxiety, depression, feeling low, low self-esteem or lack of confidence, lack of focus, traumatic life events, bereavement, making life choices and eating disorders. I also have considerable experience in the field of serious illness and the problems that can be associated with it, both for the affected individual and their family. In our sessions, I aim to bring warmth and sensitivity offering a safe and confidential place for you to explore and understand difficult feelings and thoughts without being judgemental and in complete confidentiality.
No one type of therapy fits everyone and so at our first meeting we can explore your concerns and decide on a means to overcoming your problems, whether by Person Centred Therapy or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). By listening carefully and discussing the difficulties one can find a way forward that will help you to resolve your issues.
