Herbal Medicine Practitioner in London

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Western Herbal Medicine from the University of East London (2016). My training included the study of orthodox medical subjects from pathology to pharmacology, as well as phytochemistry and plant medicines, nutrition and hundreds of hours of clinical experience. This included clinical training at Whipps Cross Hospital in the Dermatology department. This thorough training enables me to safely diagnose, treat and prescribe for a variety of health complaints.

I am a member of National Institute of Medical Herbalists (the oldest herbal professional body in the UK) and College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy, and always uphold the highest standards of practice. This includes strict confidentiality and meeting personal data protection requirements.

I constantly continue professional development and stay abreast of current research into herbal medicine.

Background & Qualifications

BSc (Hons) in Western Herbal Medicine from the University of East London

My Specialisms

Medical Herbalists are trained as General Herbal Practitioners. This means that I take on patients with all conditions.

I often get patients who:

Feel unwell and fail to thrive, but find that all blood tests show normal results
Have multiple health problems and find it hard to cope (they are also likely to take several prescribed orthodox medications)
Have an emerging health condition and would like to address it naturally first before going onto pharmaceutical medications
Find peri-menopausal or menopausal transition difficult to manage on their own and choose not to take HRT
Would like to conceive with help of natural medicine before trying for IVF

Approach to Therapy & How I Work

Therapy begins from in-depth assessment of your health (your past medical history, family history, lifestyle and nutrition, emotional state, any current prescription drugs or supplements, and the individual systems in your body (heart, gut, etc).). Clinical examination is carried out if appropriate.
The aim of the assessment is to gain a complete, holistic picture of you. This will allow the underlying causes of your condition to be addressed and a personalised treatment strategy to be developed. This will include your personalised plant medicines formula, and advice on nutrition, supplements and lifestyle.
If your case is complex, it is possible that I will need to research your case further and book a follow-up appointment with you before your medicine is prescribed. The follow-up meeting would be either in person, by phone or by Skype.
Comprehensive written reports on the initial consultation outcomes are available upon request at an extra charge.
Depending on your condition, you may be asked to keep a diet diary for a certain amount of time and bring it to the follow up consultation.
