Jackie trained as a hypnotherapist through the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy and is a recognised practitioner with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR). She is also a hypnobirthing practitioner, working with pregnant women/couples.
Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) is an extremely effective, quick, short term therapy. It will help you to finally gain control over those factors contributing to your anxious state meaning you're able to ease into feeling great and being in full control of your life once again.
The reason CBH is so effective is because it looks at any current issues a person is experiencing, rather than focusing on the past. CBH focuses on problem solving, turning worries into solutions and helping the person change how they think, feel and behave around certain things or situations. For example learning:
New ways of thinking
How to let go of problematic thoughts
How to relax
How to calm down
How to problem solve
How to approach scary things
How to be assertive… etc.
You'll spend time rehearsing your new ways of thinking, acting and feeling whilst in the calm, relaxed and powerful state of hypnosis.
Is it safe?
Hypnotherapy/CBH is safe and no one has ever got stuck in hypnosis. There are some contraindications to hypnotherapy, for example if a person has a history of psychosis, therefore a full health assessment takes place before we start any therapy.
How does it all work and what is my first step?
First of all we will have an initial telephone consultation where you can ask any questions about the therapy and I can find out a little about the issues you are experiencing. This is free of charge.
If you decide you'd like to go ahead our first session together will last 90 minutes and will include an in depth assessment, going through all issues you are experiencing and coming up with an effective treatment plan and an initial amount of sessions that you are happy with.
Clients feel the benefits right from the first session and CBH doesn't require endless sessions like some other therapies. Provided you put your new learned skills into action you'll quickly notice all the benefits this brings - not only into helping with any issues you are experiencing, but also into other areas of your life!
Where do the sessions take place?
Currently all sessions take place via Zoom. Not only is this just as effective as being face to face, it is also convenient for clients needing to fit sessions around work and life. No travel is required therefore saving time and as Zoom is video conferencing we can see each other clearly when talking
Please note the rates detailed below are there to give you an idea of the therapists standard rates, we strongly advise you contact the therapist for more detailed rates and any offers they may have.
The first session is 90 minutes long and is £65.00 Subsequent sessions are 60 minutes long and are £65.00 Included in the price are any audios and follow up information Some clients require just 1 or 2 sessions, others perhaps 5 or 6 - it really depends on the issue/s you are experiencing. I will always check in with you after each session and at the half way mark through any treatment plan, to see how you are feeling and how much you are noticing and enjoying your new ways of thinking, behaving and feeling. If, for example, we decide on a treatment plan of 4 sessions and after the first, second or third session you wish to cease therapy you can of course do this with immediate effect.
