We all need a little support from time to time. Sometimes we just get stuck in a rut and can't find an easy way out. Well I'm very pleased to say that the tools and techniques I use, alongside my experience in working with people with challenging physical, psychological and emotional issues, has helped many people move on and improve their lives.

I'm Jo, and I live and work in the beautiful City of York. I have spent all of my working life helping, supporting, assisting and caring for people. Much of that time was spent in a nursing role, first as a district nurse and most recently and an IBS nurse specialist. My therapy work now takes centre stage and I am loving supporting people using holistic mind and body therapies.

I help people tap into their own abilities to heal and make changes in their lives. It is such a powerful and natural way to see improvements in anything from anxiety and stress to physical illness and pain.

I will teach you how to continue to work on yourself, with easy tools and techniques. It really is all in your power to heal, restore, improve and live the life you want.

Background & Hypnotherapy Qualifications

My background is in nursing and I spent over 20 years working as a nurse in the NHS. During that time and due to my quest to help people, I developed an interest in complementary therapies and self help strategies.
I am a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Emotional Freedom Techniques Practitioner (EFT or tapping) and Reiki Practitioner.
I am registered with the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis and an Accredited Practitioner with EFT International. I abide by their code of conduct and have regular professional development and supervision. I am fully insured.

Approach to Hypnotherapy & How I Work

I love helping people to help themselves. To empower them and support them in finding joy, health and wellbeing in their lives. We can often get stuck in illness, symptoms and problems and it can be hard to see a way out. Sometimes we need a little support, a helping hand to guide the way towards what you want in life.

You may find my approach a little different. We won't talk for hours about problems and symptoms, that just keeps you stuck where you are. Instead let's turn our attention to what you want in life, your hopes, desires and dreams, to things that make you feel good, to being happy, then the other stuff just falls away.

I use a holistic approach and a wonderful mix of therapies and techniques to support you in your journey back to health and happiness. It will take work and commitment on your part, this is a partnership where you take the leading role, but with my belief and encouragement all the way. Are you ready? 😊

Additional Rate Information

If you would like longer sessions, these are charged at £10 per 15 minutes extra to the fees above. Home visits are available, with an additional charge for travel and time. Skype/video remote sessions are available.
