As a clinical hypnotherapist, I specialise in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, a wonderful form of hypnotherapy that helps you as the client to access your own potential to solve the problems in your life. We never dwell in the past, instead we focus on the present and the future, working towards finding solutions and achieving the goals you want.

We all come to feel stressed, anxious or down sometimes, but with the knowledge and skills obtained in your sessions with me you will be able to understand why you are feeling the way you do, and make a decision about how to react to the situations in your life. Using the latest advances in neuroscience, I can help you create new neural pathways, rewiring your brain to a new strong, confident, calm, and in control mind.

Background & Qualifications

I originally studied a Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne in Australia. Majoring in zoology I have a passion for animals and have a background in animal welfare. After seeing a solution focused hypnotherapist myself for help with self esteem, stress and anxiety and having such amazing results I decided I had to share all that I had learned with others. For the first time in my life I truly felt myself, free of stress and anxiety - the changes were remarkable, and I felt compelled to help others achieve the same clarity and happiness in their lives.

I am fully qualified holding a Diploma of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH) awarded by The Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training. The Clifton Practice is an accredited centre of excellence in hypnotherapy training. I have also completed a training course in self hypnosis for childbirth and attend regular CPD (Continuing Professional Development) courses to expand my skills and further my knowledge.

Approach to Therapy & How I Work

Our first session together will be our initial consultation, in which I ask you how you would like me to help. We discuss your needs and goals and ascertain an approximate time frame for your therapy. We work rather quickly in Solution Focused work, with most areas needing 8-12 sessions. Specific phobias will be 3 sessions after the initial consultation. I will then give you an in depth description about how the brain works, how anxiety, depression etc are all created, and how we can help you change. I will give you a free relaxation CD which will get the process started.

Our following sessions will be 60 minutes, half of which will be spent discussing your goals, and revising the brain, and the second half on the couch for relaxation and trance.

Trance is very normal, it is nothing to be feared! We go into trance many times a day - ever walked or driven a familiar route, reached your destination and not remembered the entire trip? You were in trance! We use guided relaxation to get your mind focused on an image or idea, giving you an experience similar to day dreaming. You are awake throughout trance, and always in full control, able to come out whenever you wish. No hypnotherapist can put you into trance against your will or make you do anything you wouldn't do normally.

Additional Rate Information

Initial Consultation - £60 Sessions - £60 Quit Smoking - £130 For most cases we suggest 8-12 sessions, however this is always completely up to you as the client. Specific phobias take 3 sessions (after the initial consultation) and Quit Smoking is a single one on one session of around 1.5-2 hours.
