Penelope Ling Hypnotherapy

Penelope Ling
Hypnotherapist in Oxford

An experienced full-time hypnotherapist since 2008. My specialist areas are anxiety, stress management, phobias and confidence building. I work at Kingsmoor Clinic in Kingston Bagpuize and online. I pride myself on practising to the highest ethical standards, and I am a member of the Complementary Natural Healthcare Council, The College of Medicine, The Association of Solution-Focused hypnotherapy.

I also work with Richard Pyke a Human Givens Therapist just finished his level 2. He specialises in Mens Mental Health.

People can discuss and explore their personal issues, their choices, their behaviours, their thoughts, their beliefs and feelings without fear of judgement, reproach or discrimination. Working in a solution-focused way we look at how the brain works from a neuroscience perspective and this allows clients to understand what is happening from a biological as well as a psychological perspective.

I also offer Skype sessions. I currently work online and with clients within the UK, or Good English speaking clients in the European Union. (only if the internet connections are good)

I was winner of Oxfordshire Hypnotherapist of the year 2021 - 23 and specialise internationally with Phagophobia.

Approach to Hypnotherapy & How I Work

I usually start working with a client in a solution-focused way. This helps me build a rapport over a few weeks and once we have established that, I can then introduce other tools and techniques into the mix, depending on what the client feels that they need. We may use Brain working recursive therapy if they have a strong bad memory they need to change or use NLP to change the way they think about a certain situation. We may go through mindfulness exercises to help get that anxiety under control.

As I am also a nutritional therapist, I may look at a person's diet to make sure their body is healthy. Mind and body are connected, so when I see a person with mental health problems, I also like to make sure they are getting the best out of nutrition as medicine too.
