"I always like to look on the optimistic side of life, but I am realistic enough to know that life is a complex matter". Walt Disney, Co-Founder of Walt Disney Productions
This quote sums up my take on life and my attitude towards it! I believe everyone has the right to be the best they can be, but recognise there are times when our own fixed ideas, attitudes and behaviours, alongside the situations in which we find ourselves and how others behave towards us, can all get in the way.
Prior to 2007, my career included positions within the catering and hospitality, equestrian, farming, medical, consultancy and training areas ... and yes, that's an awful lot of different areas, but alongside my formal education, this has given me a vast range of knowledge, personal experience, tools and techniques upon which to draw.

I believe everyone has the potential to grow and develop and that my role is to positively support and encourage them to achieve this; ultimately leading to an individual who feels empowered, motivated and confident.
My aim is to ensure that everyone I work with is treated with respect, honesty and the utmost integrity. By treating everyone as an individual, I am able to develop trusting relationships with my clients that enable us to collaboratively seek solutions to problems, whilst allowing me to offer observations and challenges in a friendly, supportive and non-threatening way.
Work in all areas is client led, and it's vital to me that you feel safe, comfortable, motivated and fully involved throughout. After all, for the support I offer to be most effective, you have to be totally committed to making the changes you desire. Acting as a supportive, encouraging and positive guide I blend a range of concepts, theories, tools and techniques to raise your awareness of yourself and your situation, gain a clearer understanding of both and jointly explore how to develop your skills and knowledge in order for you to reach, and maintain, your goals.
How do I work?
I offer a complimentary telephone call to discuss what you would like to address, what you would like to achieve, answer any questions you may have, and most importantly, help you to decide whether you would like to work with me.
If you decide to continue, I take a little time at the beginning of each session to discuss and address any questions or concerns you may have, talk through how things are going (assuming you have already had at least one session) and chat through any feedback you wish to provide.
I follow the codes of practice and ethics of the National Hypnotherapy Society, Association for Coaching and British Psychological Society. I am on the accredited register for hypnotherapists, a programme set up by the Government to improve standards and safety for the benefit of the public.

"Sue is professional, friendly , relaxed and competent. She used a combination of techniques including hypnotherapy to help me improve my sleep patterns. She also gave me some very useful business advice. Thanks Sue."

"I have seen Sue a few times now in regards to my fear of flying.
I liked the fact that she will enquire beforehand about the fear in more details in order for her to be more prepared for our session. I have found her to be very thoughtful, patient and kind and can only recommend her.
She recorded our sessions and I listen to those while on the plane, and have been able to take planes without crying, having panic attacks and without taking medications (which I am delighted about).
