Approach to Therapy & How I Work

I have a holistic approach to massage so our initial consultation includes a health form to find out about your whole health profile and then we have a chat to find out what you feel you need from the massage. If you have come with specific pain we will also do a range of motion exercises so I can try to pinpoint which muscles and joints may be contributing to your pain. In my first massage I'll be looking at the areas you specifically want me to work on but also finding out if there are other areas that relate to this. With clinical massage, my aim is to get you out of pain and increase your range of motion as quickly as possible but working weekly within a 6 week range if necessary. However, you should start to notice a real difference after three weeks. Where possible I try to use techniques that aren't painful and to always work within your comfort zones, the idea being I am working with your body to help it heal rather than forcing it.
