Alison is a fully qualified sports, deep tissue, and remedial massage therapist (MSMA, MISRM, BTEC)with over 16yrs experience, including working at the London 2012 Paralympics. Alison has a wealth of experience and has treated a variety of patients with different conditions. Being able to help clients become pain free and lead a better quality of life is a very satisfying reason for a being a massage practitioner.

She is a registered member of the Sports Massage Association and the Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage

Based in Hawkhurst, on the Kent East Sussex borders, she offers a mobile service treating people in their own home within a 20 mile radius.

Background & Qualifications

Alison trained initially at Hastings College for an NVQ certificate in sports massage, then continued her training at the London School of Sports Massage graduating with BTEC diploma in Sport and Remedial Massage Therapy.

My Specialisms

Many of Alison's clients have lifestyle rather than sport related issues. Some of these may have occurred decades before. Educating her clients to maintain their bodies in a pain free way is important to her.

Approach to Therapy & How I Work

Each Client is treated for their own individual needs. After an appraisal of your lifestyle activities, expectations and relevant medical history, your treatment will be tailored to address your specific problems. This may include management of an injury, deep tissue massage, passive and active stretching techniques, and remedial exercises with a view to restoring normal muscle alignment, tone and function.
