Microsuction Practitioner in London

Private ear wax removal appointments in Central London, North London, North West London and Hertfordshire. Saturday microsuction appointments available in our Baker Street microsuction clinic. Together with my wife, Mary, who is a Registered Nurse, I run The Microsuction Earwax Removal Network, the premier network of microsuction clinics in London and the Home Counties. All of our micro suction practitioners are either registered with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) or the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council).

Many are familiar with ear "syringing", which has by and large been replaced with irrigation. However, many GP practices are withdrawing their irrigation service due to the inherent risk of ear infection or hearing damage associated with irrigation. Microsuction is much safer and is the safest method of removing wax from the ear canal, as it uses gentle suction to remove ear wax. As long as the ear wax has been softened, the process is painless.

Background & Qualifications

I have been a practising Audiologist since 2003 and am registered with the HCPC as a Hearing Aid Dispenser. I am taking the part-time MSc in Rehabilitative Audiology at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. Since qualifying, I have taken further training in tinnitus treatment, deep canal impression techniques, ear wax removal using microsuction and endoscopic ear wax removal.

I have worked in the NHS as a Senior Audiologist, and while I found NHS work challenging and rewarding, it was frustrating in equal measure due to the limited technology in the "free" hearing aids that are available on the NHS. I therefore chose to work as an Independent, as with the whole of the hearing aid market available to myself and my clients, I can recommend the latest high-tech hearing solutions that are tailor made to the exact requirements of each client.

Approach to Therapy & How I Work

Being a hearing aid wearer and tinnitus sufferer myself, I know how important the sense of hearing is to my clients. My approach is always cautious, and if the ear wax is too hard, I will recommend that patients apply Earol for a week before returning to finish the procedure, so that the procedure can be carried out comfortably
