I am an experienced therapist with expertise in multiple therapeutic techniques:

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EDMR), Mindfulness, Imago Couples Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, CRM Comprehensive Resource Model.

I trained in the U.S and live in the U.K. I work with individuals, couples, and families for short or long term psychotherapy to help combat personal and interpersonal issues that may stand in the way of personal fulfilment and achieving life goals. I try to create a warm and open space and fully engage people right where they are in their lives as a means of helping them move closer to where they desire to be.

Background & Qualifications

Running rural practices in Montana and Nevada, I worked in environments where the ability to practice as a generalist and work with all types of individuals was essential. My experience ranged from working with at-risk teens and in group homes in Montana, as well as working as a counselor in schools; to working for the state of Nevada as a therapist, working with a diverse base of individuals as well as running groups such as: domestic violence groups for men and women, DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) groups for people with personality disorders and addictions, and Women's Coping Skills groups. Over the past 10 years I continue to expand my training and experience.

Registered with the HCPC ,the BASW, and the State of Montana Board of Social Work

I am committed to my own growth as a person, as well as professionally, and so attend regular supervision and continued further professional training.

Approach to Therapy & How I Work

I work with a full range of clients to increase, both their courage to see things as they are, and the skills required to make meaningful change happen. Together we create an open space where curiosity and risk taking are encouraged and safe, based on radical acceptance and firm belief in the power that everyone possesses the ability to change fundamentally their life experience.

It is simply a fact, based on an enormous amount of scientific research, that all of us can develop skills to change our responses to those life events which now stand in the way of our happiness and the expression of our creative potential. In my practice I have helped many develop those skills. I make use of a variety of proven, common sense techniques that anyone can learn and apply, the formula for each individual differ based on their individual needs.
