Anthony Clarke

NLP Practitioner in Aldringham

Our life is about relationships. Therapy is an odd relationship because you know very little about me and is therefore based very much on you being able to trust me. It is my responsibilty to you and for your safety to earn your trust so that you have confidence in me as a competent and confident psychotherapist.

I believe a good practitioner is a combination of things. Years of training in psychotherapy and that the training and learning is always ongoing. Experience of working with individuals and couples and recognizing the needs of different etnicities. Having received my own therapy so I know what it feels like to be a client. Life experience, much of my working life has been working in teams and managing diverese people and this has given a real sense of identity and personality.

Personally now I feel content and I do experience happiness but I am no stranger to personal losses, ostress and bereavement. It is important for me to keep mentally and physically fit and active to be in the best postion to be an effective practitioner.

Approach to Therapy & How I Work

I aim to help you to make changes in your life that will enable you to move forward. I always ask clients " On a daily basis what is the balance of your thoughts past, present or future? "
This will give me some indication of where they are in life and where we are going to go with the work You want results and to feel you are making changes and I work pro actively to help you find solutions that work . I shall integrate lots of different approaches that I have been trained in, used on myself and therefore feel comforttable and confident to use. At lot of my work is short tem and goal orientated . At times longer tem work is more approprate where you might need to work through more deep seated and complex issues or whre you are experiencing bereavement or relationship break up and need a more reflective and gentle space

I have many clients who I have worked with over the years who use me on a periodic basis to help with particular problems.
