Dorota Rospierska

NLP Practitioner in London

My name is Dorota Rospierska and I am registered UKCP systemic family psychotherapist. I have a special interest in helping people to overcome an impact of traumatic, distressing or highly upsetting events. You may not be able to recognise in your life one particular situation which was of such description. However my own experience and research shows that we underestimate the effect of chronic adverse circumstances on our well-being. It is like a person who walks around his whole life with a heavy rucksack on his back. Only when he repacks it and removes unnecessary burden (out of date believes about himself, pockets of painful and unprocessed memories etc.) he can feel the difference. Indeed, after treatment clients often report a sensation of feeling lighter and brighter. I can also attest to it because I take medicine I prescribe.

Apart from trauma work,
I specialize in helping parents and caregivers who struggle with their children's challenging behaviours to successfully resolve difficulties so families can again feel happy and relaxed together. It sounds so simple but anyone who ever experienced problems or worries about a child, knows how far from easy it is, if you try to deal with the situation on your own.

If you wonder:

- How to stop walking on eggshells?
- How to stop feeling as if you were at the end of your tether?
- How to stop blaming yourself for everything?
- How to strike a balance between caring for children and looking after yourself?
- How to find a satisfying happy medium between your needs and theirs?
- How to heal your own childhood wounds, so you are free to successfully deal with your child and not with your own unfinished childhood business?

The approach I offer is for you. I base my work on NVR (non-violent resistance) principals. Please go to to find out more about this remarkable approach.

Background & Qualifications

I am a holder MSc in systemic family psychotherapy from Bedfordshire University (2006-2010), and MSc in clinical psychology from Warsaw School of Social Psychology (1998-2003).

I practice systemic and family therapy within NHS.

In my privet practice I offer a package of following approaches to choose from according to the clients' needs:
• EMDR (practitioner level)
• AIT (practitioner level) AIT is one of the energy psychology approaches used predominantly to work with trauma and intensive, distressing experiences.
• Timeline Therapy® (master level)
• Mindfulness Based Approach (practitioner level)
• NLP (master level)
• NVR (non-violent resistance approach, trainer level)
• Brief Solutions Focused Therapy (certified BSFT therapist level)

My Specialisms

I specialise in working with parents and children (all ages).
In terms of symptoms - children with ADHD, Autism, learning difficulties, trauma.

In my work with parents I specialise in recognising blocks which stop them now, from being effective in helping their own children.

Once the blocks are acknowledged we can do something about them. "If you can't feel you cannot heal" a saying goes. Therefore once we identify the barriers we can move on to disempowering them. I facilitate this transformation. The results are worth the effort because nothing makes parents happier than happy children.
