I offer both short term counselling for a specific issue you may wish to address, and longer term therapy, providing emotional support to help you through what may be a difficult period in your life.

My practice is based in Queens Park, NW6 and at CCPE, in Little Venice, W2, near Paddington, London. Although since 2020 I meet with most of my clients on Zoom.

My work is integrative in approach, drawing on psychodynamic, humanistic, existential and transpersonal perspectives.

Prior to training as a therapist, I worked in a creative industry for twenty years, producing, styling and art directing photography for magazines and commercial clients.

I am registered as a therapist with UKCP, the professional body for psychotherapists, and BACP, the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

My Specialisms

In life, we often find ourselves going through periods of struggle or confusion, where we may feel lost or despondent. I invite you to get in touch, whatever may be causing you distress.

Therapy offers a safe, supportive and confidential space to explore your feelings, frustrations, fears and concerns.

It is a non-judgemental space for emotional, psychological and spiritual enquiry.

Key issues and difficulties that often bring people into counselling and therapy include:
depression
stress and anxiety
relationship issues
family issues
low self-worth
shame
inner critic
body image
mid-life crisis
ageing and mortality
feeling stuck
fear and panic attacks
bereavement, grief and loss
work related issues, career crisis, redundancy
eating disorders
sexuality
isolation and loneliness
addiction
illness and pain
life transitions

Approach to Psychotherapy & How I Work

I work alongside my client, offering compassion and support, as we together explore ways for you to gain a greater sense of understanding and clarity, and to build a stronger sense of self, to be able to move forward and flourish in your life and relationships.

As soulful creatures, we all come into the world with so much potential, yet during the course of our life, we may lose touch with our unique inner resources. Therapy offers a way of tapping back into our real selves, re-discovering who we are beneath and beyond our negative scripts, our personas, the adapted ways we learned to survive.

'Neurosis is the suffering of a soul which has not yet discovered its meaning'
C G Jung

So many of us get caught up in our heads and become quite cut off from our bodies and feelings. Where appropriate, my approach will aim to get us out of our heads and into the wisdom of our body, where our feelings are carried and held.

As well as the more traditional approach of talking therapy, I love to work creatively, with visualisations, dreamwork and drawing, where I feel it may enhance the therapeutic experience.
