Jidapha Wilkinson

Reflexologist in Worthing

Hello, my name is Jidapha, and I was born in Thailand. I have been immersed in massage for as long as I can remember - I have attained qualification to Master Trainer and it is so fulfilling to be able to teach the art, and to oversee students gain certification.
Massage is very popular in Thailand. I can remember as a girl, my Father giving massage to all my family - and some of the techniques are passed on down through the generations.

I particularly enjoy giving a Sports Massage as it is used to enhance performance as part of training - or to speed up recovery from injury. A Sports Massage is slow and thorough to identify any problem areas and detect overused muscles, the most common cause of sports injuries.

Another massage I practice is the Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Massage, it is pain relieving and has immunological effects.

Benefits include:
* Improves Circulation
* Assists weight loss and detoxing
* Excellent for reducing excess fluids
* Accelerates drainage of trapped toxins
* Boosts immune system

My Specialisms

THAI SPORTS MASSAGE - The Massage I practice is a full body, deep tissue, holistic treatment that combines acupressure, reflexology, stretching and aromatherapy. The Thai method is practiced in gentle, rhythmic, rocking movements. All the movements are flowing and smooth. The treatment can include a mixture of massage techniques depending on the problems
and requirements of the client.

LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE - It is a light, flowing, rhythmic but powerful massage. (the Lymphatic System is a major part of our immune system)

AROMATHERAPY - In an Aromatherapy Massage the essential oils (there are oils for Balancing, Calming and Energizing) are absorbed through the skin and carried to the muscle tissue joints and organs. However the main effect of the oil still lies in it's scent. Many everyday aches and pains can be helped by the soothing power of scent. In addition to their exotic fragrances, many essential oils have healing anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties.

REFLEXOLOGY - The principles of Reflexology are that specific points are mapped out on the palms, soles and top of the feet that correspond with organs, limbs, senses and general functions such as speech and circulation. As the feet and hands are loaded with nerve endings (approx. 7,200) pressure placed on a precise reflex area produces effects in another part of the body via the pathways of the nervous system.
A reference is made to charts which indicate how the body is reflected in the feet and hands. The big toe for instance is connected to the head and stimulating it through massage may help ease a headache. By putting pressure on a reflex zone of a foot or hand a Reflexologist can tell if there are problems in the corresponding part of the body, organs and glands, and help correct the imbalance.

Approach to Therapy & How I Work

I take an Holistic view to Massage, and the effects that occur on the body, mind and emotions of the one receiving massage therapy.
There are 11 major organ systems that compose the human body. The benefits of Massage can stimulate, increase, improve, develop, regenerate and relax these organ systems and improve their overall function.
The benefits can be Physical (muscles) Emotional (stress & tension) and Physiological (immune system)
Massage therapists who know how to apply massage techniques to obtain specific effects will be more successful in achieving the goals you desire.
