I believe therapy is about working towards an honest authentic relationship with yourself. Looking at how you see yourself and if you are being kind and loving to yourself. I believe the relationship between the client and therapist is vital in understanding how you relate to others and and how this impacts your relationships and how you feel about yourself and others.
My training is in a number of approaches, these include: Humanistic, Psychodynamic, CBT, Group Therapy and Family Systems and how our family has influenced our development. I work Integratively. Integrative therapy combines a number of approaches to suit your individual needs and unique life experience. The aim is to help you focus on self- understanding. To gain insight into the problems in your life.
At times we can become stuck in our lives and unsure of the next step to take. Sometimes we lose sight of what our needs are and if these needs are not met it can cause us to become stuck leading to feeling, sad, frustrated, lonely, depressed, anxious.
It is useful to talk through your difficulties and what is preventing you finding joy in your life. Together we will explore what is troubling you in order to relieve your distress.
