Approach to Therapy & How I Work
As an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist my therapeutic approach draws from both the Humanistic and Psychodynamic schools of thought in dealing with issues of change or acceptance. I also draw on a number of approaches and styles of counselling to help clients explore and resolve their problems, and to achieve their goals and aspirations. These include Person-centred, Transactional Analysis, Existential and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles.
People enter into counselling or psychotherapy for many different reasons - each person's issues are unique, and so my focus is always on the individual and what they bring to the counselling room.
