Hello! I am a Highly Specialist Speech and Language therapist based in Central London, who has worked in varied clinical settings for 30 years ( 24 years of which were in the NHS). I have extensive experience of working with babies and children (0 -18) to develop their communication and/or feeding skills, and have gained impressive results. My specialist areas are: Autism, complex needs, learning difficulties, language issues, social and behavioural issues and eating and swallowing difficulties. I can also offer successful therapy to fussy eaters. I have supervisory and service development experience and run training workshops for parents and professionals.

Background & Speech Therapy Qualifications

I qualified in 1992 after studying for a 4 year BSc (hons) degree in Speech and language and Therapeutics.

I previously worked in the NHS for 24 years, mainly in North West London. I now work solely as an Independent Speech and Language Therapist.

I am a member of the Royal college of Speech and Language Therapists (MRCSLT), a member of the Association of Independent Speech and Language Therapists in Independent practice (MASLTIP) and I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

I am registered with Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a Data controller and I comply with The Data Protection act (1998) and EU General Data Protection Regulations (2018). I also work in accordance with professional guidelines from the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, and The Health and Care Professionals Council.

I work with young babies and children up to the age of 18 years old.

Referrals can be made to me by: Parents, Carers, Schools, Nurseries, Local education authorities (LEA's), Case managers, Therapists, Psychologists, Dietitians and Medics.

I visit clients in their homes or in their educational settings within the areas of Central and West London. I also provide online sessions (Zoom/Teams) to clients and families who are based all around the country. Online sessions are very effective and can meet your needs in various ways.

Approach to Speech Therapy & How I Work

I offer a personal, caring, quality service, and treat each child as an important individual whilst devising a highly specialised programme unique to them.

I can visit children at home, nursery, school or unit, and I use easy, fun, practical and effective methods to develop their skills.

I like to work closely with parents and educational staff and train them (an important part of my sessions) so that they can also carry out communication programmes themselves and maximize a child's full potential. By empowering others in a child's life, families can become less dependent on the therapist.

In addition to directly working with children, I also design and run training packages for parents and professionals, and I provide supervision and consultancy input to professionals.

Additional Rate Information

Face to face sessions are £110. Please note that an additional charge is also added to cover travel expenses. Online sessions are £70. Email/phone liaison plus simple resources are included in the price. Reports, if requested, are charged as an extra service. Training, supervisory and consultancy sessions can be booked by staff and professionals, so please contact me to discuss your needs. Payment for all services are to be made by bank transfer, card or Paypal 48 hours before your session.
