Ruth Tayler

Jan Henriksson is the Lead Physiotherapist at Brook Lane Physiotherapy.

Jan graduated in 1987 as a Physiotherapist from Bodens Medical School in northern Sweden. Following graduation he started his first job in a medical centre in a small town in mid Sweden. He built up the service from scratch to a very busy out patient department, which eventually had 4 staff employed.

He moved to England in 1990 and has worked in various settings from the NHS, Private hospitals, Navy hospitals as well as private clinics and in Saudi Arabia.

In 1987 he did his first acupuncture course and has since never looked back. He has done numerous hours of training and in 2000, after 2 years studying, he finished his post graduate diploma in Acupuncture.

With these skills he has helped to relieve pain and symptoms for a vast number of patients.

Jan has also has trained in Osteopathic techniques and other manual skills, which he often combines with acupuncture.

He has also trained in ergonomics because many people present with problems related to prolonged use of computers (and computer games), and is able to give advice regarding correct set ups and sitting positions.
