I work with adults experiencing stress, anxiety, and coping behaviours that have begun to interfere with daily functioning, clarity, or a sense of control. Many people come to therapy when they are still managing externally but feel increasingly under pressure or stuck internally. My work offers a confidential, structured space to understand patterns, reduce distress, and support realistic change. I aim to work at a pace that is thoughtful and contained, without therapy becoming vague or indefinite.
I am a qualified counsellor with specialist training in trauma, PTSD and addiction recovery. I have experience working with adults in private practice and organisational contexts. My work is informed by evidence-based psychological approaches and ongoing professional development. Alongside private practice, I also provide confidential staff support to organisations, offering early, time-limited intervention around stress, coping behaviours, and performance-related wellbeing. I work within professional and ethical guidelines. Relevant qualifications includes: - Counselling Diploma - Addiction Recovery & Counselling Diploma - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Certificate - Wellbeing and Resilience Diploma - Holistic Life Coach Certificate Professional membership - Professional Associate Member of COSRT - Professional Member of Creative Counsellor - Associate Member of EMCC UK & Global (European Mentoring and Coaching Council)
My work commonly includes: • stress and burnout • anxiety and emotional regulation • alcohol, substance use, and coping behaviours • pressure, control, and performance-related difficulties • identity shifts and life transitions • long-standing patterns that feel difficult to interrupt I work with people across a broad spectrum of experience, including those who may not identify as being in crisis but sense that something is no longer working.
I work in an integrative way, drawing primarily on CBT-informed, person-centred and attachment-based approaches. My work is trauma-aware and includes attention to regulation and the mind-body connection, while remaining practical and structured. I am active and engaged in the therapeutic process. Alongside compassion, I offer honesty and appropriate challenge, supporting both insight and change. Where helpful, therapy may begin in an agreed block of sessions to establish focus, continuity and shared direction. At the end of a block, we review how the work is unfolding and decide together on next steps. Some clients complete their work within a defined period, while others continue longer-term in an open-ended way with regular review. There is no assumption of indefinite therapy. I work collaboratively, with an emphasis on clarity, boundaries, and supporting sustainable change.
