About me

I work with high-achieving midlife professionals who appear successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in self-doubt beneath the surface. You may be juggling significant responsibilities while struggling to switch off, manage stress, or feel good enough.

I offer a space where you can step back from the pressure, understand what’s driving these patterns, and begin to feel more grounded, confident, and in control.

Experience

I am a psychotherapist with over 20 years' experience supporting adults with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties.

I have particular experience working with anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, low self-esteem, and ADHD. My background includes supporting clients in high-pressure professional environments, where performance and responsibility can often mask underlying distress.

My qualifications are:

PgDip Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapies (accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies) - University of Greater Manchester

MSc Counselling Psychology (accredited by the British Psychological Society) - City St George's, University of London

BSc (Hons) Psychology (accredited by the British Psychological Society) - Birkbeck, University of London

Specialisms

I specialise in working with high-achieving individuals who may be struggling with:

* Anxiety and chronic stress

* Burnout and work-related pressure

* Perfectionism and self-criticism

* Imposter syndrome

* Low self-esteem and confidence

* Overthinking and difficulty switching off

* ADHD (including focus, organisation, and emotional regulation)

* The lasting impact of past experiences or trauma

I also support clients who feel that their success comes at a personal cost, affecting relationships, well-being, or sense of identity.

My Approach

My approach is structured, practical, and collaborative. I aim to create a space where you feel both understood and supported, while also helping you make meaningful, lasting changes. I primarily work using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), both of which have a strong evidence base.

Alongside careful listening, I offer honest reflections and practical strategies you can begin to use in your day-to-day life. We work together to understand patterns such as overthinking, perfectionism, or self-doubt, and to develop more balanced and helpful ways of responding.

Clients often value this balance — feeling heard, while also gaining clarity, direction, and tools to move forward. My style is direct yet supportive, and I adapt the pace and focus of our work to suit your needs and circumstances.
