I have been registered with the BACP since 2013, having trained as a counsellor at Chichester University. Before that I was a primary school teacher (Middlesex University, B.Ed. Hons) for more than 20-years.
I have 14 years' experience. I have counselled children, young people and adults. I have worked in the voluntary sector, the NHS and in a university counselling service. Also, I have many years of experience in the assessment of autism.
I am trained and experienced in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotional Focussed Therapy (EFT), Solution Focussed Brief Therapy, and Bereavement Therapy.
I work with clients who have neurodevelopmental difference, such as autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder or emotional dysregulation.

I adhere to the three core principles of Carl Rogers person-centred approach, whereby the counsellor offers empathy, unconditional positive regard, and congruence. I will not tell you what to do. I will work with you to help you achieve your goals by offering you approval and acceptance without judgement, so that you can feel safe to explore your concerns and accept yourself.
