My experience includes working with adults with variety of issues and difficulties such as depression, anxiety, low self esteem, loss of confidence, expressing and managing feelings, stress, and adapting to change. I am also experienced in supporting people with bereavement and loss; supporting carers and counselling parents who are caring for children with chronic health difficulties.
I have a particular interest in "Attachment Theory" which helps us understand ourselves, and our behaviours and experiences in relationships. I work to help my client gain self awareness, acceptance and to build self compassion.
I also work with counselling and psychotherapy under graduates and trainees as part of their professional development.
In addition to my Counselling and Psychotherapy experience, I have a back ground of cancer and palliative care nursing.
