I’m a Clinical Associate Psychologist working with children and young people, offering a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where they can feel safe to explore their thoughts and feelings.
I understand that it can be difficult for children and young people to put into words what they’re going through. They may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, behavioural difficulties, or finding certain situations overwhelming. I work at their pace to help them make sense of their experiences in a way that feels manageable and age-appropriate.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based psychological therapies, particularly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I use a range of creative and practical techniques to help children and young people develop coping strategies, build emotional understanding, and feel more confident in managing challenges in their day-to-day lives.
I also recognise the important role that parents and carers play. Where appropriate, I work collaboratively with families to support understanding and create consistency between sessions and home, helping to build lasting change.
I have experience working within healthcare settings, supporting children and young people with a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties. This has shaped my approach to be flexible, compassionate, and tailored to each individual and their needs.
My aim is to create a space that feels safe, engaging, and supportive, where children and young people feel heard and understood, and where we can work together towards meaningful and lasting change.

As a Clinical Associate Psychologist, I:
* Provide evidence-based psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention for children and young people experiencing a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties.
* Develop collaborative, formulation-led understandings that draw on each young person’s experiences, relationships, and wider context to make sense of their difficulties and guide intervention.
* Deliver a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT-informed skills, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and mindfulness-based approaches, tailored to individual need.
* Adapt interventions to be developmentally appropriate, accessible, and engaging, supporting children and young people to build emotional awareness, coping strategies, and resilience.
* Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and wider systems, recognising the importance of shared understanding and consistency outside of sessions.
* Use ongoing assessment and outcome measures to monitor progress and ensure that interventions are effective and meaningful.
* Maintain a strong commitment to ethical, safe, and reflective practice, working within professional boundaries, engaging in supervision, and ensuring care is delivered within my scope of competence.
* Draw on experience of working with complex and longer-term difficulties, integrating psychological theory with practical strategies to support lasting change.
I take a collaborative, compassionate and evidence-based approach to therapy, working alongside clients to understand their difficulties and build meaningful, sustainable change. My practice is informed by psychological formulation, allowing us to make sense of patterns in thoughts, emotions and behaviours in a way that feels relevant and accessible. I draw on a range of therapeutic models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and mindfulness-based approaches, tailoring interventions to each person’s individual needs and goals. I place importance on creating a safe, non-judgemental space where clients feel heard and respected, while also supporting them to develop practical skills and self-understanding that can be carried forward beyond therapy.
