About me

Are you feeling stuck in your grief? Overwhelmed by sadness, guilt, or anger? Frustrated that others don't understand what you're truly going through? Losing someone you love can leave you feeling lost and isolated, and navigating these profound emotions can be incredibly challenging.

I offer bereavement counselling online across the UK, providing a calm, warm, and supportive space where you can gently explore your unique experience of grief and loss. For me, supporting you through this difficult time isn't just a job; it's a vocation. A deep seated commitment to helping individuals find their way through profound sorrow.

Over my years in practice, I've had the privilege of working with many adults, each facing their own unique journey of bereavement. I've learned first hand that grief takes many forms, whether it's the sudden shock of an unexpected loss, the prolonged sadness after a long illness, or the complex emotions that can resurface years after a death. My experience has taught me the immense value of patience, empathy, and providing a truly non-judgemental space where all feelings are welcome. I am dedicated to helping you talk openly about your emotions, discuss practical ways to live with your loss, and acknowledge your journey without pressure to "move on" or "get over" your bereavement.

My approach is centred on creating a warm, supportive, and genuinely relaxed online environment. I utilise a client-centred perspective, ensuring that each session is tailored to your individual needs and proceeds at your own pace. I believe in fostering a calm atmosphere where you can feel completely comfortable exploring your grief and loss openly and honestly, knowing you have a dedicated and experienced ally by your side. My background in counselling has deepened my understanding of the human capacity for healing, even in the face of immense pain, and I bring this belief into every session.

Whether your loss is recent or happened years ago, you don't have to cope with grief alone. If you're ready to find a compassionate space to process your feelings and begin healing, I invite you to reach out. Contact me today for a free initial chat to see how I can support you.

Experience

My commitment to providing compassionate and effective support is built upon a solid educational foundation and continuous professional development.

I hold an Advanced Counsellor and Psychotherapist qualification at QLS Level 4. This advanced qualification provided a comprehensive and rigorous level of study, delving into complex therapeutic theories and practical applications. It equipped me with advanced knowledge in areas such as psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural (CBT), and humanistic approaches, alongside a deep understanding of ethical practice and working with diverse client needs. This training has been instrumental in developing my capacity to offer nuanced and tailored support, particularly when navigating the profound complexities of grief and loss, allowing me to adapt my approach to best suit your unique journey.

My foundational journey into therapeutic practice began with Counselling at QLS Level 3. This qualification provided me with essential core counselling skills, including active listening, empathetic understanding, and the ability to build strong, trusting therapeutic relationships. It covered key aspects of ethical practice, self-awareness, and the fundamental principles of helping clients explore their feelings in a safe and supportive environment. These fundamentals are crucial in creating the non-judgemental space where you can feel comfortable exploring your feelings of bereavement at your own pace.

My dedication extends beyond formal qualifications; I am committed to ongoing professional development, ensuring my practice remains current, informed by the latest research, and aligned with best practices in bereavement counselling. These qualifications, combined with my extensive experience working directly with individuals experiencing grief, form the cornerstone of my ability to offer skilled, empathetic, and effective support to you.
