I'm a psycho-spiritual Muslim counsellor offering face to face counselling in East London, main location Hackney City Farm and depending on availability Stratford. My experience thus far has been with women who have experienced domestic abuse, childhood abuse, anxiety, depression, PTSD, suicidal ideation, and in the last year I have been specifically working with women who have experienced sexual trauma including childhood sexual abuse. I work with a diverse range of people from age, background, faith and life experiences. I am currently available Wednesdays late afternoon/evening (Hackney City Farm) and limited availability on Friday evenings (Stratford).

I have a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Psycho-spiritual model), accredited by CPCAB. I am also a Registered member of BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy).

Some of the key areas of support I have offered have been around sexual abuse & trauma, domestic abuse, anxiety, PTSD, depression, identity, suicidal ideation, self-esteem, loneliness, spirituality and faith, and wanting to make sense of life experiences and trauma that is affecting the present. I believe in holistic health and wellbeing and work with you where you are on your journey.

The psycho-spiritual model I work with uses Islamic spiritual principles to understand the relationship between different parts of ourselves; soul, heart, body, mind and our journey of life. I work in a heart-centred and trauma informed way to be with you wherever you are, to give you the space to explore what you feel you need to.
