About me

Counsellor / Psychotherapist I am a fully qualified Psychosynthesis therapist. I gained a Post Graduate Counselling Diploma from the Psychosynthesis Trust in 2005 which is accredited by the University of East London. I have been in Private Practice in Sutton, Surrey since 2005. I have been practising continuously since then as a Counsellor/ Psychotherapist now mostly working from home. I have particular experience of Student Counselling through my work at Goldsmiths, University of London. As Counselor with Sutton Counselling for Sutton Refugee and Migrants Network (SRMN), I have developed particular expertise working with Trauma within a psychodynamic environment. I am now a fully Accredited EMDR practitioner using this model mostly in my work with trauma. Through my work as Counsellor at the Psychosynthesis Trust, in GP Practices and with IAPT, I have the experience of a great variety of issues and people. I am a fully accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP Accredited) and as such, I abide by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

BACP ACCREDITED EMDR ACCREDITED Post Graduate Counselling Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Psychosynthesis Trust. The Diploma is accredited by the University of East London (UEL). Fully qualified in the practice of Lifespan Integration Therapy (L.I.) Certified in the practice of Mindfulness and CBT Certified by Sutton Counselling for Assessment skills. I also hold an MA with Distinction in Comparative Literature from the University of Lille Experience: Private Practice in Carshalton Beeches, Sutton, Surrey since 2005 Psychodynamic Counselling working within the NHS until 2015 through Sutton Counselling in partnership with IAPT in Wallington, Surrey. Student Counselling at Goldsmiths University, London. Counselling for the Psychosynthesis and Educational Trust, Tooley Street London. Counselling refugees, migrants and victims of torture as part of a partnership project between Sutton Counselling and SRMN (Sutton Refugee and Migrants Network). Assessments for Sutton Counselling, Sutton Agency work with trauma victims using EMDR. I also work in French. Post Graduate Counselling Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Psychosynthesis Trust. The Diploma is accredited by the University of East London (UEL). Certified as EMDR professional (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy) to the highest level (level 4) I am now working towards Accreditation. I have training and experience in a wide range of issues including anxiety, relationship issues, generalised anxiety disorder, depression, bereavement, emotional and sexual abuse, trauma, stress, family issues, sense of betrayal, anger management, panic disorder, low self esteem, inter cultural issues. Most people at some time in their life experience distressing thoughts or feelings. Sometimes it is the result of life events, sometimes it feels as if the problem has always been there.Those feelings and thoughts may become more manageable with support. I can help you to explore those thoughts and feelings in a safe non judgemental way.

My Approach

I AM NOW WORKING ONLINE and IN PERSON An initial interview to explore what brings you to counselling, what you would like to achieve and then decide if we want to continue to work together. Regular appointments are usually on a weekly basis. the work can be short term or long term. A counselling session normally lasts 50 minutes then we allow up to an extra ten minutes for practical arrangements. Confidentiality. As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I abide by its code of ethics
