Did you know that trauma is not only stored in the mind, but inside the body too. This is why talking alone will not fully process the trauma you have experienced, this will support in dealing with your lived experience intellectually, so you may understand your experience and the impacts they have had on you, but still be suffering significant symptoms of the trauma, such as anxiety/fear/restlessness/exhaustion.

My approach to trauma recovery deals with the mind/body (nervous system)/emotional aspects and spiritual impacts. It incorporates talking therapies/reflections and education on what trauma does to the body, once you have full understanding cognitively of your lived experiences and the impacts on mind/body and soul, we then begin the gentle process of shifting your nervous system out of fight or flight and into rest and digest - allowing you to feel calm, relaxed and more able to think rationally and respond appropriately to your emotions. This is achieved with breathwork and mediative states, and then with gentle Reiki Healing, the heavy, dense or negative emotions can be released by the body so a new sense of peace and calmness can arrive.

This means we are treating the mind/body and soul in unison as a whole, rather than the traditional talking therapies that focus on the mind and cognitive resonance - this combines physical body, intellectual and energy body. Allowing clients to understand their experiences, the behaviours and patterns that they have developed due to their experiences, processing the impacts and finally shifting the emotions and memories that have been stored in the body, preventing them from experiencing full recovery and restoration in order to move past their trauma.

I also offer a specialist service for parents and carers who are trying to navigate Child Protection Procedures and The Family Court. I offer guidance and support and advocacy services to promote the rights of the child and parents within statutory children’s services.

I have 8 years of experience as a qualified social worker, working within child protection and court. I have worked with thousands of families and supported them in navigating some of life’s toughest challenges and overcoming trauma.

I have coached and supported many families with positive parenting skills/parenting through trauma/reunification and much more.

I have coached many victims of Domestic Abuse and Childhood Trauma into recovery through my specialist programs

I specialise in supporting adults and families overcome and move on from trauma and abuse.

Developing relationships and understanding of the impacts of trauma and abuse and strategies to healthy management of trauma associated behaviours and difficulties.

I specifically heave vast amounts of experience within Domestic Abuse/Substance Misuse/Childhood Trauma and Responses/Bereavement and Loss.

I work together with you to understand your strengths and challenges and how they are impacting you in your daily lives.

We build a plan to work towards your current and immediate goals, discussing on how we will reach each goal and what you feel you need to change.

I will make recommendations on what the plan will entail and an estimated time frames, this will be reviewed and amended regularly as and when needed.

We will work together with a range of intervention strategies on releasing trauma and promoting recovery at a steady, safe pace that suits you.

My trauma coaching program usually takes around 10 - 12 weeks but this will vary depending on your specific experiences and needs.
