I offer warm, supportive counselling and psychotherapy for adults and young people at Orion House (Stamford) and Elton (Peterborough), providing a confidential space where you can explore difficulties safely and at your own pace.
Together, we can explore what feels difficult, develop a deeper understanding of the challenges you’re facing, and work towards the goals that matter to you.
Whether you're experiencing new difficulties in your life, struggling to reconcile with the past, or seeking a better understanding of your patterns, problems, and potential, counselling can support you.
I have experienced first-hand how transformative a good therapeutic relationship can be, especially when life’s challenges feel overwhelming or difficult to face alone.
If you'd like a free, no-obligation telephone chat to discuss how therapy could help, I'd love to hear from you.
I hold a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Therapeutic Counselling and Psychotherapy, alongside a Level 5 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I also hold a Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Young People.
I have experience working with both adults and young people presenting with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-harm, loneliness, and low self-esteem.
During my training, I worked with young people in a secondary school setting and supported adults within a primary care service. This experience allowed me to work with clients facing a broad range of emotional and psychological challenges, supporting them to cope, grow, and make meaningful changes in their lives.
I am a member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), and hold professional liability insurance.
Anxiety and depression are among the most common difficulties I work with. Alongside supporting clients to manage symptoms, I believe it can be valuable to explore the underlying causes of emotional distress and recurring patterns.
I help clients make sense of their experiences and better understand themselves, particularly where difficulties may be connected to low self-esteem, adverse childhood experiences, relationship difficulties, loss, loneliness, or self-criticism.
Therapy can provide an opportunity to process emotions, develop self-awareness, and begin making meaningful changes. Together, we can explore patterns of thinking or behaviour that may no longer be serving you and work towards healthier ways of coping and relating.
My approach is person-centred, which means I believe each person has the capacity for growth, change, and greater self-understanding when offered the right therapeutic environment. I aim to provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental relationship where you feel genuinely heard and understood.
Because every client is different, the way we work together will be unique to you. Some people come to therapy wanting space to talk openly about their experiences each week, while others prefer a more focused approach centred around particular goals or challenges. We can work in whichever way feels most helpful for you.
I offer both short-term, solution-focused therapy and longer-term therapeutic work for those who would like to explore deeper or more longstanding difficulties. I work primarily in person, but I can also offer online sessions where this feels more practical or accessible for you.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to meet, explore what has brought you to therapy, and discuss what you hope to gain from the process. It’s also a chance for you to get a sense of what working together might feel like and whether I seem like the right fit for you.
While my core approach is person-centred, I also draw on different therapeutic ideas and interventions depending on your needs and preferences. I view therapy as a collaborative process and welcome ongoing dialogue about what feels useful, supportive, or meaningful to you.
Therapy offers a confidential space to explore difficulties safely, process emotions, and develop greater understanding of yourself and your experiences. Whatever has brought you to therapy, we will work at a pace that feels manageable and meaningful for you.
As the saying goes, “Only you can change, but you don’t have to do it alone.”
If you would like to learn more or arrange an initial conversation, I’d be happy to hear from you.
