I’m Rebecca, an integrative counsellor in Plymouth offering gentle, neurodivergent-affirming support for people who feel overwhelmed, burnt out, or like they’re constantly holding everything together.
Living with ADHD myself means I understand what it’s like to juggle a busy mind, big feelings, and the pressure to keep up. Many of the people I work with don’t realise their struggles might be linked to ADHD — they just know they’re exhausted from trying so hard.
My work is grounded in warmth, curiosity, and the belief that healing happens when we feel safe enough to be fully ourselves. I offer a calm, steady environment where you can explore what you’re carrying at your own pace. No pressure. No judgement. Just a supportive space to reconnect with yourself.
f you’re wondering about my background, here’s a little about my training and where I’ve worked.
I hold a Level 4 Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling from Heartwood Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I’m an accredited registrant member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
Alongside my private practice, I work as a counsellor at Hamoaze House and at the Bereavement Counselling Service here in Plymouth. Before that, I volunteered with Samaritans, ChildLine, and the crisis text service SHOUT — experiences that taught me how to sit alongside people in some of their hardest moments without rushing to fix or minimise.
I keep my learning alive through ongoing professional development in neurodivergence and ADHD, as well as bereavement and grief support. You’ll also find me listed on Psychology Today and the Counselling Directory.
I offer counselling for people who feel overwhelmed, anxious, burnt out, emotionally intense, or stuck in patterns of people-pleasing and self-doubt. My work is especially suited to people who are carrying a lot, masking how hard things feel, or finding it difficult to switch off, set boundaries, or feel at ease in themselves. I offer a calm, compassionate space to gently explore what is going on and find steadier ways forward.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert in your own life. I draw from different approaches depending on what feels most helpful for you, including person-centred, CBT, and Gestalt therapy. This type of counselling is called integrative counselling and the simplest way to understand it is that it means I believe that there is no one size fits all counselling. We are all so different that it makes sense we all need something different from our counsellor.
