About me

I am a warm and compassionate integrative counsellor with a person-centred foundation, supporting children, young people, and adults for over six years. I offer a safe, calm, and confidential space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgement. Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and I aim to make that first step easier by providing a therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and genuine care. My approach is guided by your individual needs, allowing us to work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I support clients experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, the impact of past experiences, abuse, neglect, and adolescent challenges. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply need space to talk, I will work alongside you to help you better understand yourself, strengthen your sense of self, and move towards meaningful, lasting change. Alongside my counselling work, I have volunteered extensively with children and young people, deepening my understanding of emotional and developmental experiences. During the Covid-19 pandemic, I also supported individuals on a mental health and wellbeing helpline, offering reassurance and connection during a time of great uncertainty. I believe everyone deserves to feel safe, supported, and empowered in their life, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients on their journey. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and currently offer counselling via video and telephone.

Specialisms

I'm an integrative counsellor who tailors therapy to each client by combining person-centred, psychodynamic and techniques. I work collaboratively to identify patterns, develop coping skills and build resilience for issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma and relationship difficulties.

My Approach

My approach is integrative and person-centred, characterised by gentleness, attentiveness, and respect for each individual's unique experience. I view clients as the experts of their own lives, fully capable of growth and self-understanding. I offer a non-judgemental space where empathy, active listening, and emotional attunement are central to the therapeutic relationship. This supportive environment allows clients to explore their thoughts and feelings safely and at a pace that feels right for them. I work with a range of issues, including abuse, neglect, past experiences, self-belief, and adolescent challenges. My aim is to support clients in making meaningful change guided by their personal goals. I believe everyone has the right to move forward feeling safe, comfortable, and empowered. I encourage regular reviews of our work together to ensure that therapy remains helpful, relevant, and aligned with your needs.
