I am a BACP Registered Counsellor, in private practice since 2011. Over the years, I have developed a way of working that is responsive to you and your needs, and how we spend our time together depends on what you're looking for from the counselling. I provide a general counselling and psychotherapy service for adults and young people (11+), offering individual and couples therapy. I work from my home on the Great Orme in Llandudno, where I have the perfect situation to be able to provide a safe, private, relaxed and comfortable space, a large, attractive room dedicated to my counselling practice. I am very grateful for and reassured by the fact that many of my clients come to me via recommendation and word of mouth. Here are some examples of the feedback I've received from my clients: "I am definitely happier and have a clearer understanding of why I was unhappy. It's amazing really, how much better you actually feel voicing everything out loud and talking things through, acknowledging how you feel. So thanks very much for your support and kindness." M. "After feeling confused and angry a lot of times, I felt the need to seek counselling before I self-destructed. Within a few relaxed sessions, I began to feel a lot calmer and more at peace with myself. I am now back on track with my life and can't thank you enough for your expertise. Many thanks again." J. "Thank you very much for today. I feel so much better already and can't wait to come next week." A. "Sorry for the short notice, but we have an unexpected problem we have to deal with. I will leave things for now and will contact you when I need your expert guidance. You have been a tremendous help, thank you." D. "It's so weird that the situation I was so stressed out about at work just doesn't bother me any more. I'm enjoying my job again for the first time in ages. I'm using the mindfulness techniques you taught me and find them really helpful. I've actually signed up to do a mindfulness course! Thanks for everything." S. "Thank you for everything you've done for me. I feel much better and I'm finally getting on with everything I've been putting off and it feels great. It was coming to see you that helped the most." K. "I can't thank you enough, Victoria. I'll never forget you." J.
I came into counselling from a teaching background and, after qualifying in 2010, I worked in a counselling role for the top FE college in Lincolnshire, while I also worked as a volunteer at the Northamptonshire Youth Advisory Service, offering counselling to young people, aged 14-25. Since my move to North Wales, I've spend several years as a school's counsellor working with high school kids (11+), so I do have some expertise in working with young people! I also spent two years as a Volunteer Counsellor for Mind, the mental health charity, before relocating to Llandudno in 2013, where I've established my private counselling and psychotherapy practice. I achieved a First when I did my degree in Philosophy and hold an Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, with further qualifications in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Relationship Counselling, Coaching, Hypnotherapy, IFS, EMDR, EFT and Trauma Therapy.

I'm probably best described as pluralistic - how I work with a client depends on what they want from the counselling and their preferences and beliefs about what is likely to help them. My foundations are in Humanism and I strongly believe that the quality of the counselling relationship is the most important predictor of you getting what you want and need out of the counselling. You've got to feel comfortable to talk to me. That's why I'll offer you a FREE 30 minute Introduction Session, to discuss your therapy goals.
