Matthew Krouwel

Matt is one of the UK's most experienced and qualified hypnotherapists having been in practice for nearly 25 years. He has taught hypnotherapy and EMDR all around the world and has taught and presented at medical schools in both the UK and abroad. He works with clients and patients for a wide variety of conditions including smoking and vaping cessation, addictions and behaviour changes and is most well known for his work with anxiety conditions (panic disorders, phobias, generalised anxiety) and functional disorders with a psychological component (irritable bowel syndrome, psychosexual conditions).

Matt began in practice nearly 25 years ago, having trained with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis (LCCH) , for whom he became a lecturer and centre manager for many years. He is a Doctor of Health Science (PhD), having studied and written extensively on the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) with hypnotherapy.

Over the years my teaching, writing and practice work have led me to a number of specialisms; Anxiety - in all is forms from specific phobias to post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Gut and Digestive disorders - The most common of these is Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) which is highly responsive to hypnotherapy, but he also has extensive experience with nausea and vomiting disorders. Psychological Sexual problems - He works with all type of sexual problems, both male (Erectile disorder and Premature Ejaculation ) and female (Vaginisimus, Dysperunia and Anorgasmia) as well as the problems which effect both genders such as sex and pornography addictions and low sexual interest.

Matt aims to find the most appropriate techniques for the individual he is working with.
