I am a huge advocate of natural medicine and am qualified in Naturopathy, Herbal Medicine and Iridology. I work in Brent and Camden Osteopaths, Kensal Rise, NW10. I've been practising for over 11 years, and my aim is to empower people so that they can take control and transform their own health thus leading a more fulfilling life. It's mainly Western herbal medicine that I use however, Ayurvedic herbs and some Chinese herbs are also used, as well as Spagyric medicine, which is a is an ancient natural system of healing based on the synergy of herbal medicine, homeopathy, aromatherapy and mineral therapy.
I studied at CNM (college of naturopathic medicine) in London. My qualifications are: Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology Diploma in Naturopathy Diploma in Herbal Medicine Diploma in Iridology
Anxiety and Stress Digestive problems (including ulcers, diverticulitis, IBS, IBD, constipation/diarrhoea) Hormonal imbalances (including PMS, PMT, Menopause, irregular periods, fibroids, PCOS) Urinary problems (including thrush, cystitis, bladder weakness) Respiratory problems Skin problems Women's Health Issues Men's Health Issues Weight Loss
In your Naturopathy first consultation I'll take a detailed case history including questions about your current health status, your medical history, diet and lifestyle. Diagnostic procedures including a blood pressure check, nail examination, tongue and pulse will also be carried out. Please bring any medications that you are on with you to the consultation. I may prescribe a herbal remedy, which is specifically made for you and/or recommend nutritional supplements, dietary changes, and lifestyle modifications. Herbal medicines are slower acting than pharmaceuticals and I'll ask you to return for a follow-up consultation in two to four weeks. Further appointments may be necessary to assess whether your prescription requires adjusting as your health improves. The herbal remedies can be in the form of tincture (plant constituents extracted in alcohol or glycerol), herbal teas, powders, capsules, creams, oils and ointments. For Iridology-only consultations I take a picture of your eyes with a special camera that are then downloaded onto a computer. I'll discuss the findings with you and will email you a written report with pictures of your eyes a few days after the consultation.
